Can heterosexuals also be converted into homosexuals? Can a heterosexual fall in love with someone of the same sex? Can a heterosexual be made that way by sexual abuse or messing with the occult? After all, there is no scientific evidence then heterosexuals are born that way if there is none for gay people either, so how can this be? Did you think this through?<\/p>\n

I must admit that your question gave me a good laugh. Yes, we have plenty of evidence that people are born heterosexual. We call one half “male” and the other half “female.” The only way you and I were born is because of heterosexual relations. “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it<\/em>” (Genesis 1:27-28).<\/p>\n The choice for heterosexuality is made when I decide to follow God’s order of creation. Men are given reproductive organs that compliment the reproductive organs of women. It was God’s design and purpose for men to marry women, have sex, and produce children. “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh<\/em>” (Genesis 2:24). Though God made every good, man has a tendency to seek out the bad. “Truly, this only I have found: that God made man upright, but they have sought out many schemes<\/em>” (Ecclesiastes 7:29).<\/p>\n Isn’t it interesting that in your comparison, you imply that some homosexuals are “made that way” due to the influence of a sinful environment? You wonder why the same is not applied to heterosexuals. The answer is obvious since heterosexual relations in a marriage is what God designed, it is righteous and good. Good does not come about by the influence of evil, but by the influence of good. “And why not say, “Let us do evil that good may come”? –as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say. Their condemnation is just<\/em>” (Romans 3:8).<\/p>\n I see, as well, that you were unable to locate any study that proves homosexuality is genetic. As I had mentioned before, if you read the actual studies, the closest any have claimed so far is that there\u00a0might<\/em>\u00a0be a genetic\u00a0tendency<\/em>\u00a0toward homosexuality. Yet even these studies have failed to be substantiated by follow-on studies. Instead, studies trying to replicate the results have contradicted the original studies.<\/p>\n The myth that homosexuals cannot leave that lifestyle is popular but is contrary to the evidence. Yes, people have left homosexuality behind. Nearly 2,000 years ago the apostle Paul said, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers,\u00a0nor homosexuals, nor sodomites<\/strong>, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.\u00a0And such were some of you.<\/strong>\u00a0But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God<\/em>” (I Corinthians 6:9-11). There were members of the church in Corinth who were former homosexuals. Homosexuality, just like any other sin, can be left behind.<\/p>\n There are large organizations established for the expressed purpose of helping homosexuals leave homosexuality:\u00a0Exodus International<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0NARTH<\/a>. There are studies and articles written concerning people leaving homosexuality.
