Was Jesus a Vegetarian?<\/a>\u00a0where evidence from the Bible was given.<\/p>\nFrom the time of Jesus’ birth, animal sacrifices were a part of his life and religion because he was born an Israelite and kept the law perfectly. “Now when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were completed, they brought Him to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord (as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the LORD”), and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord, “A pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons” <\/em>” (Luke 2:22-24). When he cleansed the leper, he commanded him to make the required sacrifices: “And He charged him to tell no one, “But go and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your cleansing, as a testimony to them, just as Moses commanded” <\/em>” (Luke 5:14). That offering was described as:<\/p>\n“Then the priest shall command to take for him who is to be cleansed two living and clean birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop. And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water. As for the living bird, he shall take it, the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop, and dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water. And he shall sprinkle it seven times on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose in the open field<\/em>” (Leviticus 14:4-7).<\/p><\/blockquote>\nIt was then followed by another sacrifice, a week later:<\/p>\n
“And on the eighth day he shall take two male lambs without blemish, one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish, three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, and one log of oil<\/em>” (Leviticus 14:10).<\/p><\/blockquote>\nYou’ve made up your own religion, borrowing elements from the Bible, but you don’t believe the word of God so you reject what it says as a whole. Jesus would not have been greater than any other human being on earth if he did not show love and compasion for both humans and animals. He would nto be the divine begotten Son of God, the Father. It would be contrary to his divine nature to think otherwise. It doesn’t stand to reason why he would not have love and compassion for both humans and animals while other human beings do for animals. This is contrary to the fullest degree. He gave us these emotions to extend to both humans and animals.<\/p>\n\t
