I was wondering what lexicon you&#8217;d recommend. I once read a review that claimed Thayer&#8217;s is outdated, which is what I&#8217;ve been using through the Blue Letter Bible. Have new findings since its writing been significant enough to use a newer lexicon? If so, which would you recommend?<\/p>\n\t<h2>Answer:<\/h2>\n<p>For a general &#8220;layman&#8217;s&#8221; lexicon,\u00a0<em>Vine&#8217;s Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words<\/em> is quite good. My all-around favorite is <em>The Complete Biblical Library<\/em>. This one is no longer being printed, but it is available on CD. It is expensive, but if you&#8217;ve seen printed copies of it you know why. The printed set takes up about six feet of shelf space. Something quite a bit cheaper, but a bit harder to use is\u00a0<em>A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature<\/em>\u00a0by Walter Bauers and edited by Fredrick Danker.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Question: I&#8217;m really getting into Greek word-studies now.
