I have heard it said that you can cook a live frog by placing him in a pan of water at room temperature then slowly but steadily increase the heat until the deed is done. I have always been skeptical of that tale (and have never been so sadistic as to try it). Regardless of frogs, I do know that it is easy for men to be unaware of the circumstances surrounding them until it is too late. In other words, sometimes you become the frog.<\/p>\n
It is called desensitization. It happens when, because of repeated exposure, one becomes so familiar with sinful things around him that he is rendered less sensitive to them. Reactions to specific acts, once fast and strong, are replaced by a gentle shake of the head in protest. More exposure and you probably don’t even notice the sin at all. Christians of a past generation were outraged by Clark Gable’s one word in “Gone with the Wind.” Today some of these same people may not even hear that word when it is used repeatedly in their favorite television program. For the most part, our views on cursing haven’t changed — but our level of awareness has changed.<\/p>\n
An agenda is primarily an outline of how something is to be accomplished. The word is often used to describe an underlying ideological plan or program as in hidden agenda. The Bible speaks of Satan’s “schemes” or “plans” (II Corinthians 2:11). The Devil has an agenda and he has servants (II Corinthians 11:14-15) to help him work it. Satan’s homosexual agenda has “come out of the closet.” There is nothing hidden about it.<\/p>\n
The media is desensitizing our nation to homosexuality by bombarding us with television programs filled with it. Present programs such as NBC’s Brothers & Sisters and CBS’s The Class, are just two of the many that promote homosexuality as an alternate sexual orientation or merely another lifestyle choice. The gay agenda believes that, if they can put it in front of you enough and get you to laugh at it, they can get you to accept it. Their strategy is effective.<\/p>\n
You may be tempted to think that the sin you are seeing on television or in real life is but a random degeneration of society. Think again. What you are seeing is part of a plan being put into action to change the way we think. The Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network ( GLSEN) is only one of several networks whose purpose is to promote the acceptance of homosexuality in American society. Their public policy platform states:<\/p>\n
GLSEN believes that learning about the diversity of humankind is an essential part of education in a democratic society, and affirms the right of students to learn in classroom environments that nurture diversity. GLSEN encourages schools to allow students in all grade levels access to curricula, trainings, texts, and materials … inclusive of sexual orientation and gender identity\/expression. GLSEN calls upon public policymakers to remove any prohibitive laws that forbid or discourage in-school discussions of sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.<\/p>\n
These people and others like them want your children to be taught in public classrooms that homosexuality is acceptable! Their network lobbies for and tracks legislation, even offering lobbying tips,\u00a0promoting their cause. They design and provide teaching materials, as well as training for teachers in the propagation of their moral filth. This is not the random degeneration of our society; rather it is an evil empire in the business of designing ways to destroy you, your children, the Lord’s church, and the Lord’s influence in our world!<\/p>\n
The infiltration of our educational systems with the homosexual agenda is taking place at an alarming rate. The University of Michigan, for example, now offers an academic minor in “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans-gender, Queer and Sexuality Studies” with one of the courses being, “How to be Gay: Male Homosexuality as a Cultural Practice” GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Trans-gender) organizations exist on many, if not most, state university campuses in our country. They understand that, for their agenda to succeed, people must be reeducated. This is an evil, scheming, empire!<\/p>\n
While that is alarming, consider the case of Oliva Hartsell of Wilmington, NC. Olivia, a first-grader, brought home a book from her school library entitled, King and King by Dutch authors Linda De Haan and Stern Nijland. The book tells the story of Prince Bertie who rejects the princesses before him in favor of Prince Lee as his mate. At the end of the book, the two princes seal their love with a kiss and are married. The book’s publisher, interviewed by Joyce Howard Price of The Washington Times (March 19, 2004) said, “We want to show same-sex love as being warm-hearted and sincere.” These people want and are scheming for the minds and hearts of your kids!<\/p>\n
When God created Adam He said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him<\/em>” (Genesis 2:18). From Adam’s rib, God made the woman and He declared, “For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife<\/em>” not another man (Genesis 3:24; Matthew 19:4-6). As Aude McKee once said, “When God created a companion for man, He created Eve, not Steve.”<\/p>\n The ancient city of Sodom was destroyed because the people “indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh<\/em>” (Jude 7; Genesis 19:4-5). God pronounced the sentence of death upon the homosexual in ancient Israel (Leviticus 20:13). In describing the Gentile world who refused to have God in their knowledge Paul wrote, “God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts<\/em>” (Romans 1:26-27). He then concluded saying, “that those who practice such things are worthy of death<\/em>” (Romans 1:32).<\/p>\n My goal as a Christian is to learn to see people and their deeds as Jesus sees them. Given the foregoing passages, there is no doubt about how He feels about homosexuality and the homosexual agenda. Jesus would have us to be aware and stand in opposition to every scheme of Satan and his henchmen. Don’t be like the frog and allow yourself to slowly be overcome by the evil plans of perverted men. In fact, we would well be served to let our voices be heard in protest every time we can make an opportunity. Remember also, however, that Jesus loved and died for a world that included homosexuals (John 3:16). His compassion for the sinner, all sinners, is one of the things that draw us to Him. The gay man or lesbian woman is in the same position as the thief, the covetous, or the drunkard-and you and me. We have a right to the forgiveness found in the cross when we turn from our sin and meet His conditions of pardon. That’s the good news!
