I have heard preachers say that God has knitted us together in our mothers’ wombs. Surely this is a general statement to mean God is the designer and sustainer of our lives, not that He has physically and individually put us together?<\/p>\n
I would like to hear your thoughts on this.<\/p>\n\t
“Did You not pour me out like milk and curdle me like cheese; clothe me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews? You have granted me life and lovingkindness; and Your care has preserved my spirit<\/em>” (Job 10:10-12).<\/p>\n
“For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them<\/em>” (Psalms 139:13-16).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
If I made a machine that produced a hundred widgets per day, did I put the widgets together or did the machine do it by itself? God made the human body with the capability of reproducing itself, not in exact copies but with endless variations. God not only made the process, He also watches over it since nothing is hidden from God’s sight. Thus, God formed us individually and as a race.<\/p>\n\t

I get what you mean by God made us to reproduce and is not absent from our lives even when we were formed, but how do you explain God knitted together the cripple?<\/p>\n
