Hi sir,<\/p>\n

I am a born again believer. My question is: does witchcraft have an effect on a baptized believer? I can understand you don’t have the protection of the blood of Jesus if you’re not born again. I was a victim of witchcraft ten years ago, back when I was not born again. I used to feel tormented, scared, and had bad dreams. But after being baptized and being in regular contact with God through prayer, praise, and reading the Bible, I was freed from the effects of witchcraft. However, my competitor gave me something sweet to eat and since then I’m feeling the same way I felt ten years ago: tormented, scared, fearful that something is going to happen.<\/p>\n

Please let me know. The Bible says that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, then why do the effects of witchcraft have an effect on a believer covered by the blood of the lamb?<\/p>\n

Deciding to become a believer doesn’t give you immunity from false ideas. That is why the New Testament is filled with warnings. “But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ<\/em>” (II Corinthians 11:3). The truth is that witchcraft has no power, except that of deception. Those who practice witchcraft are given “power” by those fooled by their tricks. Notice that all your responses are about your feelings. Feelings can be manipulated. However, the truth is always solid. Satan only has as much power as you give him, so stop listening to the lies. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world<\/em>” (I Peter 5:8-9).
