The Hebrew word translated as “skin” is\u00a0‘owr<\/em>\u00a0which means hide or leather. The same word refers to the hides used to make a covering for the tabernacle (Exodus 26:14) and the skin of a bull leftover from sacrifices (Exodus 29:14). It is not used for the feathers of birds as you are inferring. That Hebrew word would have been\u00a0nowtsah or ‘ebrah<\/em>.<\/p>\n
