Something happened this week my girlfriend confessed that she kissed another man. She said it started as a game and they were teasing one another and they kissed for about two seconds and she pulled away and walked off. I don’t know whether it’s out of guilt, or if she was genuinely sorry, but she confessed the very same day. My worry is: if she is doing that now what will she do in the future? A kiss just doesn’t happen. She has totally apologized and asked me for one more chance. As a man of God, what would you advise me? The guy she kissed even sent me a message and told me there is nothing going on between them. But what’s your advice?<\/p>\n\t
“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses<\/em>” (Matthew 6:14-15).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
It isn’t about the easy stuff. It’s about the hard things. If you find in yourself the ability to forgive her, it must be complete — no more mention of it, not holding it against her. Love “does not take into account a wrong suffered<\/em>” (I Corinthians 13:5). If you are able to truly forgive her, then you have truly proven that you are in love with her.<\/p>\n
By the way, you are worried about the wrong thing. If she didn’t tell you and, when confronted, didn’t seek forgiveness, then you would have a problem on your hands.<\/p>\n\t
