Read the bible again if you wan to go by that cause he says no one will life past a day seems to me not on even the oldest in the bible seems to live past 1000 years, rethink before you post and maybe re read a bit..

Answer:

I left this one unedited because I wasn’t really certain what the person was saying.

I’m assuming your complaint is that God won’t be judging us by what we do in this world because we don’t live very long. Misusing “But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” (II Peter 3:8), you claim that our lives wouldn’t even be a day in God’s sight. I always wonder why people pick “a thousand years as one day” and ignore “one day is as a thousand years.” Peter’s point is that time doesn’t matter to God whether long or short. Peter is not saying that God only sees long term events.

The Bible states that God will consider what we do in this life. “But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who ‘will render to each one according to his deeds’” (Romans 2:5-6). That judgment will be based on everything that we do. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad” (II Corinthians 5:10). Nothing will be overlooked. “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment” (Matthew 12:36).

Isn’t it amazing how many people believe they are experts on a book they’ve not studied?

Question:

No, just saying a someone that has no begining and no end doesn’t go by the same laws as we, sorry I was so harsh but people always want to put a time on things and thats not our place to do.

Answer:

God says He doesn’t see the world as we do. “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:7-11).

And, yes, II Peter 3:8 is saying that time doesn’t have the same significance to God as it does to men. But it doesn’t mean that God is unaware of time.

While God is not accountable to the laws of man, it would be a mistake to claim that man isn’t accountable to the laws of God. The laws recorded in the Bible are God’s laws for mankind. Those laws are compatible with the righteous nature of God. God doesn’t expect His creation to live by rules that He Himself doesn’t follow.

Question: did you really think that god would go by our days? have you takin a look at what was made?
