We’ve been together for nearly ten years and for the past several years I’ve been treating my wife very badly. I say bad things to her and we just don’t feel happy around each other anymore. She seems like she’s afraid of me. I still love her and I know I can’t live without her, but it’s like we don’t get along. it seems like anything she says to me sets me off. You’ve only stated what your bad behavior is. You did not state why you are purposely hurting a person you claim to love. The Bible tells husbands, “Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered<\/em>” (I Peter 3:7).
