I hope this coronavirus will end soon. What should we pray for in this crisis? I believe God knows what is happening so how should we pray and what should we pray for?<\/p>\n\t
Prayer is the time to tell God about our desires. Consider that Jesus knew that he would die on a cross. He came into this world for that purpose; yet, just prior to his arrest he prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will<\/em>” (Matthew 26:39). We always acknowledge that events will occur as God sees best, but we can still express what we hope might happen.<\/p>\n When Solomon dedicated the Temple in the Old Testament, he prayed that it might be used by men to tell of their distress. “If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence, if there is blight or mildew, locust or grasshopper, if their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities, whatever plague, whatever sickness there is, whatever prayer or supplication is made by any man or by all Your people Israel, each knowing the affliction of his own heart, and spreading his hands toward this house; then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive and act and render to each according to all his ways, whose heart You know, for You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men<\/em>” (I Kings 8:37-39).
