I don’t know of a preacher who is willing to go against God by going against the government just for a whim. You asked about getting legally married, so why not get legally married in all respects? I was reading a letter from a guy talking about the license who wanted to send you an audiotape. I understand what you are saying but what about God seeing the government as crooked? You should not have to have permission from the state to get married. Most people do not realize when you get that certificate permission from the state, they have control over your life and children. That does not add up to what the Lord would want. Most people do not understand what they are signing, which is called fraud! This is Satan’s world and God is in control. This is his will and our home is not on this crooked earth but in the new Heaven when the New Earth will sit here, Amen!<\/p>\n\t

I’ve read my marriage license. I also do genealogy and have read many licenses. The only fraud being perpetuated is the one you are a part of — a false claim that getting a license gives the government control over people’s lives. It never has.<\/p>\n
In answer to your question, at the time Paul wrote Romans 13:1-2, where Christians are told in no uncertain terms to be obedient to the government, the government in power was Rome. It was the very government that Paul and the other apostles warned would be persecuting Christians. As long as a government acts within the bounds of God’s laws, a Christian must be obedient to the government as it represents God’s justice.<\/p>\n
There is more than enough evil in this world. It doesn’t require people to make up imaginary wrongs. Instead, you are promoting evil by advocating actions based on lies. Your parents had a marriage license. The government had no control over them or their children, including you, as a result of that license.<\/p>\n\t
