Is there significance to the separation of the body and the blood?

Question:

Why did Jesus choose to be beaten in a Roman palace, to carry the cross all the way through Jerusalem and be crucified in Golgotha? Why, through this act, did Jesus emptied all his blood from his body and poured it all over the way to the cross? Why was this same action first demonstrated in his last supper when he emphasized it by separating the blood from the body by bread and wine? Couldn’t he choose to simply be carried and be crucified without all this? What does all this actually signify? Is it to prove something fundamental for the salvation of all humanity?

Answer:

Questions, such as yours, are impossible to answer because they focus on things not revealed. The realm of speculation is a dangerous place to go because you lose track of what actually was stated. For example, Jesus was bleeding heavily from the scourging he took prior to his crucifixion, but that doesn’t mean he lost all his blood on the way to the cross. He did survive three to six hours on the cross before dying. And after his death, “one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out” (John 19:34).

In regards to whether the separate emphasis on the blood and the body has meaning, it would be guesswork since God didn’t state any reason.

Does it need any deeper meaning that what God has told us?

“And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because “All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the word of the LORD endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you” (I Peter 1:17-25).

Question: Why did Jesus choose to be beaten in a Roman palace, to carry the cross all the way through Jerusalem and be crucified in Golgotha?
