Referring to them as Black Hebrew Israelites already show that you have a bit of a selective view of whether they are legit or not. For clarification, the correct term is Hebrew Israelite, and that “is” in the Scriptures.

Who was the Bible or Scriptures given to? The lost sheep of the house of Israel, that’s also all throughout the New Testament.

What type of minister are you? Who are you teaching or preaching to?

Answer:

You are referring to the answer to the question “What do you know about the Black Hebrew Israelites?” As mentioned, there are a number of groups calling themselves by similar names, but having varying beliefs. That the group you belong to prefers to call themselves “Hebrew Israelites” doesn’t make any difference in the information given. (And no, the phrase “Hebrew Israelite” does not appear in the Bible.)

Among the common core beliefs is that the Old Testament laws are still in effect, contrary to God’s own statement: “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah – not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more” (Jeremiah 31:31-34). The writer of Hebrews quotes this passage and comments on it at length from the end of Hebrews 7 through Hebrews 10. In regards to Jesus, the writer states, “He takes away the first that He may establish the second” (Hebrews 10:9). And commenting on Jeremiah, he states, “In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete” (Hebrews 8:13).

In regards to the Messiah, God stated, “Indeed He says, ‘It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, that You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.’” (Isaiah 49:6). The Old Testament was for the Israelites, but the Gospel is for all mankind.

Therefore, in regard to the truth, the Hebrew Israelite groups are not legitimate. They pull bits and pieces from both the Old and New Testaments, add in a great deal of wishful thinking, and created a religion that follows their own thoughts. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables” (II Timothy 4:4).

Question: So because he follows the law statutes and commandments of the Old Testament, you assume that the Hebrew Israelites are not correct?
