Along with this, I&#8217;m trying to figure Herod&#8217;s bloodline. Does it have some of the bloodlines from the 12 tribes of the Old Testament?<\/p>\n\t<h2>Answer:<\/h2>\n<p>Probably the clearest chart that I&#8217;ve seen of this messy family can be found at the bottom of &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20110123065647\/http:\/\/www.imt.net:80\/~gedison\/herod.html\">The Herod&#8217;s<\/a>.&#8221; I particularly like this chart because it gives verse references. There are some errors, such as the claim that Herod Agrippa I died of worms gained by eating too much raw fish. So it would need to be cleaned up before use. A more colorful, but messy chart can be found at &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20120530063632\/http:\/\/www.abu.nb.ca:80\/courses\/ntintro\/intest\/HerodFamily.htm\">Herod&#8217;s Family<\/a>.&#8221; This chart includes more of the family, but following all the remarriages gets mindboggling.<\/p>\n<p>Herod the Great was\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Herod_the_Great\">the second son of Antipater the Idumean<\/a>. Thus primarily this family descends from Esau and the nation of Edom. His mother, Cypros, was a Nabatean, an Arab nation.
