I hope you are doing well. I was having a Bible discussion with a friend and he asked me a question: if someone uses Jesus’ name to heal the sick, get revelation and prophesy, is that person using God’s Spirit? Please help me to answer him.<\/p>\n

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness’<\/em>” (Matthew 7:21-23).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
There is a difference between a claim and an actual doing. Many people\u00a0claim<\/em> to heal or prophecy today, but none\u00a0<\/em>are able to prove their claim. This is drastically different from what we see in the New Testament. Here the miracles are acknowledged, even by the enemies of Christ, but they denied that God was behind the miracles.<\/p>\n
