My wife left me six weeks ago. My life has been a living nightmare since then. I really don’t know the real reason for her leaving. When she left, she told me that she didn’t think she should be here anymore and she thought she was attracted to women.<\/p>\n
I found out bits of information since. For example many phone calls in one month to a male co-worker. Her excuse for calling him so often was that he caught her kissing a girl and he was the only one I could confide in. She refuses to talk to me. I suspect an affair had taken place.<\/p>\n
She was being a wife to me up until the time that she left. I would just like her to talk to me and be truthful. My wife has been on an antidepressant for a few years to help with her hormone imbalance. She recently stopped taking the medication. She went from telling me, on the day she left, that she loved me to telling me that she loved me but not the way she should, to not loving me.<\/p>\n
Please help. I’m at my wit’s end.<\/p>\n\t
There isn’t much you can do to restore your marriage if your wife has already left and doesn’t want to talk to you. It is easy to blame yourself in these types of situations. Because you are left with so little information, you are bothered by fears that you might have caused it, or wondering if you had done something would she not have left. It is likely that the answers will never be known.<\/p>\n
What is left for you to do, is move on. “But if the unbeliever departs, let him depart; a brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases. But God has called us to peace<\/em>” (I Corinthians 7:15). You cannot hold a marriage together by yourself when your wife is unwilling to cooperate.<\/p>\n Since she has told you fairly clear that she has been committing sexual sins, either of a homosexual type or with another man, as you suspect, it does leave you with the right to divorce her and if you can find a better companion, to marry her (Matthew 19:9).
