It has come as a revelation and blessing to me that these words are inappropriate as names for our Father and His Son. There is a whole &#8220;World&#8221; in their names Yahweh and Yahshua.<\/p>\n\t<h2>Answer:<\/h2>\n<p>Oddly enough, God uses the name &#8220;God&#8221; (<i>elohim<\/i>\u00a0in Hebrew,\u00a0<i>theos<\/i>\u00a0in Greek) as His name almost as often He used\u00a0<i>Yahweh<\/i>\u00a0(3848 times versus 5521 times). Yet you tell me that it is inappropriate. I prefer the revelation of God over a man&#8217;s revelation of his imagination (Ezekiel 13:2-3;\u00a0Jeremiah 23:16,\u00a025-26).<\/p>\n<p>And then the name\u00a0<i>Yahshua<\/i>\u00a0(the transliteration of the name Joshua from the Hebrew) is not used at all in the New Testament. The New Testament was written in Greek and the Savior&#8217;s name is transliterated as\u00a0<i>Iesous<\/i>.
