I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.<\/em>&#8221; Please explain what is a &#8216;jot&#8217; and also, what is a &#8216;tittle&#8217;?<\/p>\n\t<h2>Answer:<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lavistachurchofchrist.org\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/10\/HebrewGod.png\" alt=\"Hebrew word for God (example of a jot or yod)\" width=\"110\" height=\"41\" \/>A jot\u00a0is the smallest letter in the Hebrew alphabet. It is also called a yod. The word on the right is the Hebrew word for God. The second letter from the left, which looks like an apostrophe is a yod, or jot.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lavistachurchofchrist.org\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/10\/HebrewTittles-300x85.png\" alt=\"Example of Hebrew letters which differ by a tittle\" width=\"300\" height=\"85\" \/>A tittle\u00a0is a small stroke on the edge of the Hebrew letters. Tittles are essential for distinguishing Hebrew letters because several look the same, except for the tittles.
