Before the fall of man, God told Adam and Eve, “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”<\/em>” (Genesis 1:28). Man cannot multiply without having children, so God did intend Adam and Eve to have children.<\/p>\n From this, we also conclude that children are a blessing, not a curse. “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward<\/em>” (Psalm 127:3).<\/p>\n The curses pronounced on the serpent, the woman, and the man came as a consequence of their sins. They were given before Adam and Eve were sent from the Garden, not afterward.
