I was wondering, do we Christians have to work Sundays, or are we protected by any kind of laws stating that it is against the law for an employer to make a Christian employee\u00a0work on a Sunday? I have a job where they started a new schedule where they want us to work on Sundays, but I go to church and I don’t want to lose my job, but if I have to, so I can still go to church I will. Do you know of any laws that I can use against them for my right to worship our Lord on Sundays?\u00a0 Please help.<\/p>\n\t
Christians are not under laws like the Jews who were required not to work on the seventh day of the week.<\/p>\n
In the United States, employers will generally work with an employee so that he can worship. There was a time when I had to work a rotating shift that covered Sundays and Wednesday night Bible studies. I told my boss that I would work extra hours or schedule my meal breaks at the time I needed off, but that I was going to go to worship service at the scheduled times. My boss simply gave me the time off.<\/p>\n
