Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, if it is so that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus<\/em>&#8221; (Philippians 3:8-12).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I&#8217;m puzzled why you desire to take a passage dealing with devotion to God and salvation and force it to speak about marriage, family, and parenting. There are plenty of passages in the Bible on these topics without needing to twist passages to talk about topics not in the mind of the author.<\/p>\n<p>One of the principles of understanding the Bible is understanding the context in which passages are written.
