Men were not designed by God to live a life of isolation. They need a companion and a friend.<\/p>\n<p>In Titus 2:4-5, older women are asked to teach younger women how to love their husbands. The word for love in this passage comes from the Greek word\u00a0<i>phillio<\/i>. It is the love shown between best friends. You would think that this would come naturally to any wife, but Paul said it needs to be taught.<\/p>\n<p>It is not what you can get out of a marriage that is important, but what you put into it. Jesus said it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). The concept of giving goes beyond monetary aid. It reflects the Christian attitude of service to others.
