Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls<\/em>” (James 1:19-21).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
It is so easy, when things don’t go your way, to lash out in anger. I suspect that Satan cultivates anger, knowing that an angry man doesn’t think clearly. He doesn’t see the traps laid out in front of him because all he sees is red. “A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, and a man of wicked intentions is hated<\/em>” (Proverbs 14:17).<\/p>\n
Anger is another reason it is so hard to quit. You think that your emotions are coming from you, but they are really being brought on as marijuana is being dragged from your system.<\/p>\n
“Marijuana withdraw symptoms include, irritability, anger, depressed mood, headaches, restlessness, lack of appetite, and cravings for marijuana. Symptoms of marijuana withdrawal first appear in serious habitual users within the first 8 hours and are the most noticeable during the first 10 days, but withdrawal symptoms may last as long as 45 days The withdrawal from marihuana is identifiable by behavioral and emotional distress<\/em>” [Marijuana Withdrawal].<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Amazingly that quote comes from a group of marijuana advocates.<\/p>\n
Satan doesn’t play fair. He kicks you at your weakest point. Thus the days you try to quit are the ones that seem to be filled with things that irritate you, annoy you, and just plain make you mad. Satan wants you mad so that you won’t think about the choices you are making.<\/p>\n
Don’t fall for it, “lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices<\/em>” (II Corinthians 2:11).
